Our Community

We invest in initiatives built to help save driving, including programs that teach people to drive stick shift, give them access to cool cars, provide funding for teens to go through driver’s education, support the training of the skills necessary for restoration and preservation and bring national recognition to our automotive heritage.

Giving Back

Automotive community programs

Historic Vehicle Associations

In 2009, we founded the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) to promote the cultural and historical significance of the automobile and protect the future of our automotive past. The HVA documents and recognizes historically important vehicles in a National Historic Vehicle Register (NHVR) through work with the Department of the Interior and Library of Congress. They also host the annual ‘Cars at the Capital’ event at the National Mall in Washington D.C. that features the newest cars added to the NHVR.

RPM Foundation

Through our founding and support of the RPM Foundation, more than $3.5 million has been awarded since 2004 to support hands-on training for the next generation of automotive, motorcycle and marine craftsmen.

License to the Future

‘License to the Future’ provides funding for teens to go through Drivers Education. All proceeds from The Shop by Hagerty are dedicated to this initiative. In 2019, we provided more than 60 scholarships.
